Indian Ghazal singer Jagjit Singh aka 'Ghazal King' grilled by India TV's editor-in-chief in Aap Ki Adalat programme. Jagjit's father wanted him to become IAS officer but he was very weak in education.
Jagjit Singh was born in 1941 and married to renowned Indian ghazal singer Chitra Singh. Jagjit Singh has sung ghazal in hit movies like 'Arth', 'Saath Saath' and 'Prem Geet'. Jagjit Singh was awarded the 'Padma Bhushan' award in 2003.
'Woh Kaghaz Ki Kasthi' (album - The Latest), 'Hosh Walon Ko' (movie - Sarfrosh), 'Koi Fariyaad' (movie - Tum Bin), 'Hontho se chhoo lo tum' (movie - Prem Geet), 'Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar' (movie - 'Arth'), 'Close to mMy Heart' are the best ghazals of Jagjit Singh. His songs and bhajans like 'Hare Krishna' are most popular.
