Here's what you should know when it comes to choosing between a brass or PVC tub drain assembly...

Westbrass D324-26 waste & overflow assembly:

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the larger assembly I show in this video. I purchased this one because my tub is deeper than the standard tub. I had to cut the tubes and the long shut-off linkage rod shorter. The tubes were cut to size without any problem but the linkage was a problem. I ended up cutting, overlapping, and soldering the brass rod to get it right. If you have a standard-size tub, and want to get the Westbrass quality, I recommend that you get a standard-size Westbrass waste and overflow assembly like this next one .......

IMPORTANT NOTE: I have not personally inspected this assembly but I am assuming it has the same quality build as the Westbrass assembly I purchased and show in this video. For some reason, the price of this assembly is more than the one I bought. I suggest that you search Amazon for other sellers and perhaps EBAY too.

NOTE: The tubing cutter I show in this video is actually made for pvc pipe, not metal. I will use a proper tubing cutter with 1.5" capacity to get the parts to the right size.
