Headed out to my first ever overnight blue fin tuna fishing trip! My buddies and I booked an overnight charter through a local charter group, Davey's Locker for head out on 11/11 and come back the next day. At the time of signing up there were only 5 people on the boat out of 30 which would likely results in the boat not being able to go out due to the lack of anglers. But the day of the attendance jumped to 23! We were excited and we heard that the previous day was very successful, so our spirits were high.

The boat was very clean and the crew was extremely helpful throughout the experience. We met some seasoned anglers that showed us the ropes of Tuna fishing in southern California. At the end of it all we ended up not catching any tuna unfortunately. The difference in tuna caught was dramatically different from the day before, with 4 or 5 caught during this trip and 29 blue fin caught the previous day. A great experience nonetheless. Enjoy!
