A weak low moves over the North Island this weekend bringing broken rain clouds and some hit and miss wet weather. Unfortunately for the upper South Island the latest precise tracking of this low takes it further away from you, and while not by very much, it’s enough to lower your rainfall chances sadly. There are some showers expected in the ranges and hopefully a few might spread elsewhere. Track on rain radar this weekend for more detail.

Next week a storm in the Southern Ocean is dominating our weather, bringing a surge of westerly gales to some regions and heavy rain for Fiordland and Westland.

Easter Weekend is too far out to lock in - but there may be low pressure clearing away ahead of high pressure - but we’ll lock that in on Monday for you.

We also have your 7 day rainfall map to make sense of all the talk!
