WILL I EVER GET MY APTERA?

In 2008 APTERA was a start up - they got right up to scaling production and, among other factors, they ran out of cash. All the people that had pre-orders got their refunds and the IP was sold to a firm in China.

In the last year the original founders bought back the IP and re-opened the company. As of today they have $100 million in pre-orders. As Yogi Bera would say - its like De Ja Vu all over again.

There are new, better materials, new methods of crowd funding and both the founders created successful businesses in the interim. This video addresses the question; Does APTERA have enough cash to get to production this time in 2021?

APTERA is a private company so there are not published formal financial statements. There a bits of information spread out among various interviews and articles on the web. The have been pulled together to get enough information to make a "Back of the Napkin" analysis of the situation.

Additionally, the APTERA manufacturing process will be analyzed, again based on best available information to see if they can produce enough units and meet meet demand. The APTERA manufacturing model is benchmarked against existing similar methods again to come up with a "Back of the Napkin" (let's say we are at a bar - back of a cocktail napkin ok) evaluation.
