We hiked an incredible off-the-beaten-path trail, revealed to me by a real hiking expert, local mountain guide Márcio.

Madeira attracts a lot of tourists, and for several reasons. It is a magnet for adventure lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and nature fanatics. But the most importantly, Madeira is a real paradise for hikers, offering a large array of options from challenging multi-day hiking, to some of the most scenic hikes you can do in as short as a few hours.

I have asked Márcio to share his favourite hidden gems to go hiking, and here is one of them!
