Jeremy Clarkson (in his Top Gear days) once called the Transfagarasan Highway "the greatest driving road...in the world". Was he right? Seeing as we were staying in nearby Sibiu with friends, we had to go and have a look. And let me say...whether by telecabin or car, the Transfagarasan Highway is a wonder to behold - a feat of engineering, one of Romania's most well-visited landmarks, and man-made beauty at its best. Well worth a visit, and the video speaks for itself. But...bring a coat. Crucial advice.
