Sheriff Deputies came to the apartment complex earlier in the night for the report of a loud argument ongoing in a 2nd-floor apartment. Both the male and female were not cooperating with the deputies and the deputies left the scene.

Hours later, Deputies returned due to the female contacting her friend and stating that the situation was getting worse. The Deputies now know the male is wanted on several felony warrants and is possibly holding the female as a hostage. The SDSO SWAT has been requested.

UPDATE: 6:00 am

The male is wanted on felony weapons and drug charges. The woman's children are not present and are with the biological father. The male refuses to let the woman out of the apartment. Sheriff's SWAT is currently arriving as of 5:45 am

More Sheriff's SWAT Team members are arriving and the Bearcat armored vehicle.

UPDATE: 11:00 am

Deputies started making loudspeaker callouts to the suspect. At 9:45 am, there was an explosion from a "flash bang" used by the deputies. After this, the suspect allowed the female to leave the apartment and she was escorted to a patrol vehicle. At 10:16 am, the male surrendered to the Deputies.
