The newly updated 2022 Kia Forte GT is set to compete with the likes of longtime fan-favorite Honda Civic Si. With its nearly identical power numbers, updated exterior styling and interior features along with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the Forte GT may just be a vehicle worth looking at in the hot compact sedan market.

We took a Sporty Blue model equipped with the dual-clutch transmission out for a spirited drive and thoroughly enjoyed it. For a price as tested of under that of a base 2022 Honda Civic Si, we were left wondering how the Civic plans to fight back.
