Sunday was a mostly dry and smokey end to the weekend in Appalachia. Every single day of the week will have some chances for rain and thunderstorms. The air is juicy and full of moisture so repeat storms could hit the same area twice in the same day. Most rain will move in during the afternoon and evening hours. The worst will be from the mountains and west. The two most active days weatherwise are Monday and Wednesday.
