🐱 Curious about how to raise healthy foster kittens? These vital tips will make sure they thrive! 😺

In my recent interview with Nancy Peterson from the National Kitten Coalition, we discuss the essential first steps in raising a healthy kitten. Knowledge is key - from recognizing potential medical issues to the importance of socialization. Whether it's waking up every few hours to feed and stimulate a bottle-fed kitten, or gradually gaining a frightened kitten's trust, the strategies and tips shared are invaluable for any would-be foster parent.

When it comes to whether a mother is present or not, the impact on the kittens is significant. A mother cat not only provides care attentively round the clock but also teaches her kittens vital skills, even how to use the litter box. The lack of a mother means the responsibility falls on the foster parent to simulate the mother's essential care and attention.

Did you know that kittens need stimulation to urinate and defecate until they are about 4 weeks old? It's fascinating how nature works, isn't it?

Now, I'd love to hear from you! Have you ever raised foster kittens, and what strategies did you find most effective in ensuring their health and well-being?
