Throughout Jigsaw's active years, he brought on a number of disciples to help him carry out his plans, and eventually take over for him after his passing, and the one who was there before all the others was Lieutenant Detective Mark Hoffman. Hoffman would stick around to become John Kramer's first true successor by continuing his work and taking on the Jigsaw moniker.

But Hoffman's intentions were not the same as his master's, and he developed a severe psychopathy and megalomania, or intense hunger for power, as a result of what he had been through.

In this video I'll be breaking down the entire life of Mark Hoffman, from his youth, to his youngest years as a police officer, to the incident that changed his life forever; and I'll explain how he developed the conditions that made him one of the scariest and most significant villains in the Saw franchise.

I'll also look to the future. Could Hoffman have survived after his last on-screen appearance? I'll be taking a look at every possibility.
