The Percy Jackson books are super popular and had Fox played their cards right, they might have had a Harry Potter type franchise on their hands. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters definitely raises some questions. Like why is Poseidon ignoring his son? Why is Tyson here and how can he see with those sunglasses on? How is Luke still alive? Why aren’t more people involved in this quest if annihilation is the possible outcome? Why isn’t Luke using his teleportation device more often? How is Luke surfing off of Percy’s wave? Why doesn’t being swallowed by a lava monster hurt anyone? Did they think this was getting a sequel?
