I've been testing out the Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid for the last 3 months and I'm sad to say that I've decided to return it. There are so many things to love about the Ultimate Lid model, and it's cooked some fantastic meals for us, but it doesn't stand up that well when pitched against the Instant Pot Duo Crisp in longer testing for me (mine is the 2020 8L basic model so bear that in mind when looking at the size of the bowls as the Ultimate is more like a 6L). In this video I compare the two models and explain some of the major differences.

I have loved this little Instant Pot and really wanted to continue with it, despite some irritations, but then one of the two common, and pretty major, faults reported from many in the Instant Pot Community happened to me. The pot jammed and it was impossible to remove the lid. Although I'm sure Instant Pot would replace the lid for me, I feel like this could happen again and I've lost trust in the model so I've decided to go back to my trusty Duo Crisp. It's never failed me in 3 years. I hope you have better luck with yours, but I wanted to share what happened so you know you're not alone if it happens to you.
