TESTED MODELS and thoughts
_Milwaukee 2560-20 M12 FUEL 3/8" Extended Ratchet_
It's a brute but it is painful to watch it slowly spin off fasteners. The one in the video is my second one as the first one let out it's magic smoke and had to be replaced. It will bust off bolts that the others can't even think about. You are still left using it as a manual ratchet all the time, just like the others to break fasteners free. However the extra length makes it have more leverage than others so it's easier. The Milwaukee did seam to consume more battery life than the others(all had 2.0ah). It is very heavy and though cordless the weight makes me feel like I'm dragging around a pneumatic with a hose all the time. I do like it and would not have as many nit picks if I had never tried the others.

_Makita RW01R1 12V max CXT 1/4" and 3/8" Ratchet_
WOW is all I can say. This thing is a joy to use and makes removing bolts a breeze. The SPEED is astonishing and is as close as you can get to an impact's speed. If this thing had 2 speeds so you could gear/slow it down to remove those harder fasteners without hand movement it would be perfect. I was worried about the battery consumption as this is a brushed tool, however it used the least amount of battery between the Husky(brushed) and Milwaukee Fuel(brushless) by over 20%. My favorite feature has to be the thumb direction change. However, if you're lazy about moving it and don't fully engage it, it can

_Husky 3/8" Compact Ratchet_
This is a champ and will not disappoint. I actually had this and the non Fuel Milwaukee m12 ratchet at the same time and this was better. Apex tools(makes Gearwrench) made this for Husky and I'm impressed. DO NOT worry about non replaceable batteries. This will do a few under the hood jobs without needing to be charged. However you can put it back on the charger at any time(lunch break) and it will be full ready to go when you get back. When the batteries(Top of the line SAMSUNG cells inside) fail in 5-10years, you can simply take off the side cover and solder in 3 new 18650 cells($15). The enclosed batteries with a complete handle rubber over-mold feel great in a bare or gloved hand.

_Harbor Freight Earthquake XT 3/8 ratchet_
This thing is HEAVY and not a joy to use at all. It crawls and is just painful to wait for it to spin a bolt out. It feels like you're better off just spinning them out with your fingers most of the time. I took this one back after a few weeks and got my money back. Just buy the Husky or spend a tiny bit more to get the Makita. You won't be disappointed. YOU CAN'T trust the reviews as Harbor Freight openly states they remove any reviews at will(aka bad reviews).

_Snap-on_
I did use this one and it is very nice like you would expect from Snap-on. It is built to run all day everyday and may lack some of the features that would cause premature failure. Overall I didn't feel it offered anything over the others (for the PREMIUM price) that would make it worthy of a spot in the video or my toolbox.

CHINA brand CLONES: Kimo, AC DELCO, AOBEN, etc
AC Delco is the best of the bunch but I still would steer clear. All the other brands DON'T DO IT; JUST BUY THE HUSKY. They are all made of the cheap plastic and their ratings are exaggerated. They have cheap cells in the battery packs that will die in no time and there are no replacement battery packs available.

Ryobi 18v ratchet
Kobalt 24v ratchet
CRAFTSMAN 20v ratchet
WAY to bulky to make it enjoyable. You would think they would amp this up and make it an unstoppable brute, but NO. Stick with the 12v stuff.

HORSE POWER number are just to show comparison and are off, but the ratio between the tools is right on and was the only point of it. I did real world tests with a PRONY BRAKE.

RESULTS from my makeshift Prony Brake
Makita could rotate 12-15ftlbs wo/stalling at 600rpm =1.4-1.7HP
Husky could rotate 12-15ftlbs wo/stalling at 200rpm= 0.5-0.6HP
Milwaukee could rotate 18-20ftlbs wo/stalling at 170rpm= 0.6-0.7hp

These tests have a lot of variables as well and it's virtually impossible to get exact numbers.
