Preparing for Shabbos with the Perlmans. Welcome to our house 10 minutes before shabbos. Check out the chullent on the blech and challahs in the oven and the hot water urn heating on the counter.

As you can see, our shabbos table is set with the finest plasics you can buy.

We check that whatever lights we need are on before shabbos. This is because on shabbos we don't turn electricity on or off.

The two younger kids are away at a farm. It's normally one of their jobs to put the shoes away before shabbos. Everything is mostly clean.

Erev Shabbos the whole house changes, not just cuz it's clean for a change. The holliness of Shabbos is already here. It's something you can feel and also smell coming.

Lets take a look at some of our Shabbos food.
Shakshuka with garlic and tomatoes, greenbeans, the MOST AMAZING luction kugle, chicken soup and lots more in the warming draw.

Preparing for Shabbos is really the whole week. Now we are only doing the last minute things. Other things we do to prepare for Shabbos is cleaning the whole house, cooking everything for shabbos, shopping, preparing Torah.

Now I see I haven't cleaned my fridge but...
