Are minivans still relevant? I sure hope so, since we've spent a lot of time driving them over the past few weeks!

We had the unique opportunity to have two fully loaded minivans in our TestDrive Garage, allowing us to film a great Showdown on these two vehicles, but also get to really appreciate the minivan for what it is. We took the 2018 Kia Sedona SXL+ and 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Limited to see what each van has to offer families being tempted by larger crossover SUVs.

Both vehicles are about as fully loaded as it comes, though their MSRPs are off because of it. The Kia Sedona is equipped with it's top trim but doesn't offer any additional features or options on top. The Chrysler Pacifica on the other hand also comes configured with it's top trim, but also adds on another $7,000 worth of options, such as the rear Uconnect® theatre, 20-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system, Safetytec enhanced safety package, and 20" rims.

We take both vehicles on a comprehensive road test to talk about the differences for the interiors and exteriors, along with the centre row experience for adults and children, since most buyers likely have larger families that need the added space from a minivan. There's a lot of overlap between these two, but each has a unique set of features not found on the other.
