What is the CFA Exam?
According to the CFA Institute Website, “The CFA Program is a three-part exam that tests the fundamentals of investment tools, valuing assets, portfolio management, and wealth planning. The CFA Program is typically completed by those with backgrounds in finance, accounting, economics, or business.”

How difficult Is CFA Level 1?
I would say it is tough. It covers a broad range of subjects that an investment professional should know. The exam's breadth is wide, but the depth of the exam is not too deep. So if you are good at studying and memorizing and have 300 hours to devote to studying, then you can pass.

CFA charterholders earn the right to use the CFA designation after program completion, application, and acceptance by CFA Institute. CFA charterholders are qualified to work in senior and executive positions in investment management, risk management, asset management, and more.”
