Warner Bros and DC released a teaser trailer for the upcoming Todd Phillips directed Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role. This one comes with a healthy bit of skepticism from the superhero fandom. They have insinuated that the film isn’t tied to the overall DC Universe so in that way, it can spread its wings a little and only be tied to the source material of the character and not the storylines of the universe. That freedom seems to have given this film a Little Engine That Could vibe and we are all here for it…especially after this trailer! The film hits theaters on October 4th and also stars Zazie Beets, Marc Maron, Shea Whigham, Frances Conroy, Bill Camp, Brian Tyree Henry and Glenn Fleshler.
