I bought the CHEAPEST 🤑 1x30 sander I could find

I've wanted a strip sander for a while. I considered making one, but did not have a suitable motor. A sale came up at Princess Auto, so I decided to buy THE CHEAPEST 1x30 belt/strip sander that I could find. Let's take a look at it.

Never fear, my American Friends... I checked Harbor Freight's website and they appear to have the same sander, just a different colour. (TO be clear: I have not laid hands on the HF unit; I'm just judging by the specs on the website, and the fact that we all know that lots of bench tools out there seem to be just rebranded versions of a very similar tool.)

And if you really want, I also found what appears to be another one on Amazon.com, but it is the most expensive of the three.

In the end, this sander cost me less than a full tank of gas in my minivan. It's pretty much fully assembled, and works almost straight out of the box.
I'm pretty happy with my purchase so far. Ask me again in a year or two if I've changed my mind.
