The Rise of Skywalker will be the last time we see Kylo Ren. The truth is, he could have been great.
Kylo Ren is a great example of how little interest JJ Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm had in their own creation. Our main villain was a confusing mess with confusing powers. Did anyone actually like him? Did Leia know he was her son? Is Rian Johnson’s Kylo the same character as JJ Abram’s Kylo?
