The Pakistan tour of India 1st Test at Chennai in January 28 - 31, 1999 was a highly anticipated cricket match between the two neighboring countries. The match was played at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, India.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. They were off to a shaky start as they lost two early wickets.However, a solid partnership between Mohammad Yousuf and Moin Khan steadied the ship for Pakistan.Pakistan ended their innings at 238 all out.

India 1st Inning scored 254 Runs Sourav Ganguly 54 Runs and Rahul Dravid 53 Runs Scored.
IN the Pakistan 2nd inning Scored 286 Runs how ever Pakistan won by 12 runs In this match.

Venkatesh Prasad took 6 wicket just 33 runs.
