Blackmagic design are a fantastic company with some truly amazing products on offer. I'd go as far as saying that they're in a league of their own in terms of having a great and affordable product line up for the filmmaking industry. But they also seem to have this uncanny ability to make strange decisions in regards to specifications with their products and they often under deliver when it comes to features. They had an opportunity here to take on RED and the other big hitters in the industry, but I feel they fell short. The Blackmagic PYXIS is no doubt a great full frame cinematic looking 6k camera but in my honest opinion it brings nothing new to the table in terms of sensor capabilities.
