Rasam is a South Indian soup known for its tangy and spicy flavor. Rasam is a staple in South Indian cuisine and is often served as a comforting and appetising soup or alongside rice. Andhra Style Rasam is a perfect balance of tamarind, Pepper, Garlic, Tomato and Spices. If you are facing cold issues this one is a must try.

Ingredients: (Serves 3 people)

2 small size tomatoes, chopped
1 small lemon-sized tamarind ball, soaked in water
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 tablespoon cumin seeds (In the video I have added it with Garlic and pepper and crushed it together)
10-12 garlic cloves
1-2 spoon whole black pepper
1 teaspoon pepper powder
1/4 tablespoon of asafoetida (hing) - optional
10-12 curry leaves
1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
2-3 tablespoon red chilli powder (adjust as per the spiciness of the red chilli powder that you use)
1 tablespoon of coriander powder
1 tablespoon oil
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves ( 1 cup)
Half cut Lemon
