After using the Reich Trend S mixer tap for just over a year, it no longer worked. I then took it apart to find that a cable had been pulled off the microswitch.
This video shows the steps taken to solder the cable back onto the microswitch.
Might be useful for some people, these taps are not cheap to replace.
