In this tutorial I show you how to make a poll on Discord. You can make a poll in your Discord server by clicking the plus icon to the left of your chat message. This will open a menu where you will need to select Create Poll.

Once you have chosen to create a poll a new window will open. Here you can set a question and answers for your poll. By default you will have 2 answer boxes, meaning 2 answers that people can choose between. However, you can click the “Add another answer” button to add up to another 8 answers for 10 in total.

Additionally, you will need to choose a duration for your poll. This is how long someone has to vote on your poll. After the duration has ended people will no longer be able to vote on your Discord poll, and the results will be finalised.

The Discord poll feature also gives you the option to allow multiple answers. If this option is enabled then members will be able to vote multiple times. You will usually want to leave this option turned off, however, there are times when multiple answers are useful.
