Kokernag is a beautiful place in the Dist of Anantnag, Kashmir.
It has a beautiful Botanical Garden that is taken care of by the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department.
This is one of the few places that are really well maintained and it is worth a visit.

This health resort lies in the South East of the District at a distance of 25 Kms. A famous spring called “Kokernag” gushes out from the foot of the nearby hill covered with evergreen pine trees. A terraced garden and a Botanical garden with delicately maintained flower beds of different varieties and hues covered and protected with beautifully pruned evergreen shrubs and the existence of lofty and majestic chinars is an enchanting sight to be imbibed.

The nearest International Airport from Kokernag is Srinagar Airport. It is located at a distance of 76 Kms .

By Train
The nearest railway station from Kokernag is Jammu Tawi Railway Station,which is 247 Kms from Jammu, roughly 6 hour drive from the town and it is well connected to New Delhi.

By Road
Kokernag is very well connected to various major cities of Jammu and Kashmir. Kokernag is 10 Kms from Anantnag, 54 Kms from Pahalgam, 76 Kms from Srinagar, 247 Kms from Jammu.
