The Summit Trail is a 3/4 mile (one-way) trail from the valley at Sandy Creek up to the Granite Dome summit which is about 180' in elevation gain. This trail is also the only vehicle-passable road up to the top of the property. Once at the top there is a BBQ grill, large fire pit, and picnic tables. Visitors often wonder how we got those up there before they realize there is a road to the dome in addition to all of the other hiking trails.

The views from the summit are spectacular! Off to the West-Northwest you can see Enchanted Rock State Natural area which lies less than a mile from the Sandy Ranch property line. Our granite dome is part of the same formation that makes up Enchanted Rock.
