As time goes on, movies are becoming more and more expensive and are receiving even bigger budgets to help cope with the costs of making bigger and more visually stunning movies. But even with these mega-budgets, now again directors struggle to work inside them, and often spend a staggering amount of their allotted money on one scene alone. Whether that be to end on a massive climax, hook the viewer in with an incredible opening scene, ratchet up the sense of realism, or just to add more explosions.

That’s why in this video we are going to take a look at ten of the most expensive scenes that have ever been made (that we know of anyway). This will include a visually stunning opening scene with an amazing score that never even made it into the movie, a scene from a franchises sequel which cost more than the original movie alone, having to create and develop a new technology to be able to pull off an ambitious stunt, to even flying a bus over a city skyline. So, get ready to look at some absolutely astronomical numbers as we take a look at some of the most costly movie scenes of all time.
