Watch me get vaccinated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, and ride my Brompton to/from the vaccination centre in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday 16 May 2021.

I was very impressed with how efficient and organised the vaccination centre at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur worked. Within 1 hour, I was vaccinated, and within another 30 minutes, I was on my way back home again.

14:15 Arriving at the vaccination centre with lots of police
15:37 Folding my Brompton to take inside
20:13 Getting inside the vaccination centre

23:42 Its all about good food :-)
24:00 Photo booths after vaccination to celebrate having gotten the Covid-19 vaccine
24:10 Bicycling back home
28:50 Keeping up with group of road bikes, despite riding Brompton and despite having just been vaccinated
31:00 Explaining that the Kuala Lumpur blue bicycle lanes get too slippery when wet, i.e. not compliant to the code.
32:49 Making the case, that engaging in drunk driving and refusing to get vaccinate (or wear masks) is similar in the sense that both put your own life and the lives of others at unnecessary risk. On is illegal, the other one is not. Go figure....
35:10 The AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine that I took today has a 76%
efficacy against symptomatic coronavirus disease and 100%
efficacy against severe or critical disease or hospitalisation.
36:48 My plea for people to make an informed decision about getting vaccinated

Enjoy the ride - and please get vaccinated yourself!

Update on my vaccine side-effects:
- immediately after getting the vaccination, I did not feel anything except for a bit of pain around the jab in my arm
- 9 hour after getting the vaccination: Suddenly felt as if getting a malaria attack, i.e. cold shivers and fever. My body was shaking from the cold shivers through much of the night and I woke up with a strong headache and slept the following day away
- 2nd day after getting the vaccination I did not feel sick in any way, but felt fatigued, very tired in the morning, an urge to sleep more than normal
- 1 week after getting the vaccination, I still felt fatigued and literally slept the weekend away
NB. A few of my friend, who also got the vaccine around the same time as me, felt that they endurance during exercise had decreased. I also feel less strong when bicycling.
