This year I installed solar panels on my house and, as part of the system, our old power meter from the electric company was replaced with a "net meter" which effectively "spins the other direction" when we generate more than we use. But I wanted to show what it really does because, after all, this is digital and there's nothing to "spin" one direction or another anyway. I also explain a little bit about how I'll pay the majority of my monthly electric bill to the solar panel company and a much smaller fee to the local utility company. Then we wrap it up with {Spoiler Alert} some fun aerial video shot with a DJI Phantom quadcopter.

Please note: The original version of this video had some royalty-free music playing during the aerial montage. YouTube, however, flagged the song for a copyright dispute so I deleted the song and re-posted the video with random sound effects instead. It's a bit goofy this way but I really didn't want to pick a fight with YouTube.
