In May 1990 I set out on a 2 ½ year voyage on Palantir, a 31ft Mariner Ketch, and sailed down the Pacific coast and through the Panama Canal. Back in 1990 my SatNav would only update my position approx every 4 to 6 hrs and I made careful log entries. Many years later I used this data and wrote software using Google Earth API to create a video using Google Earth and this data. Flash forward to 2020 with all the improvements to our technology I have redone the voyage in 4K resolution so that I can share this most fantastic adventure that I have experienced in my life.
