How to install an air conditioner (AC) on an RV or camper trailer. As we move through the process of renovating our camper trailer, we are now at the point where it's time to reinstall our air conditioner.

Part of this process required installing new gaskets and leveling spacers on the bottom side of the unit. Unfortunately, I had to remove the old gasket and it was quite the process. It left a super sticky residue that was pretty difficult to clean off.

I ended up using a couple of different chemicals in the process and finally got all the stickiness off. Once that was complete, I was finally able to put on the new gasket and get the AC centered over the opening.

At this point, it was as simple as going inside, finalizing the centering, hooking up the wiring, and bolting it in. All in all, it wasn't bad and everything is up and running.
