If you’ve watched my channel for a while, you will know that I love using my Apple Watch/ However, there is one problem and that has to do with the durability of the display. After just a few months of use my SE 2 and even Series 8 already show scratches on the display, so today I want to find a solution! After some research, I narrowed it down to 5 main screen protection options and ordered one of each and today we are going to find out, which are worth your money and which are not. 1. Plastic Clear Case with TPU Screen Protector. Flexible soft material, provides 360 degree protection. But after using it, of the five this transparent case falls on the bottom of my list. It makes the watch look cheap, is difficult to put on and there’s a gap between the watch display. Case is not very clear, will impact clarity of Apple Watch display. Biggest complaint is how the case impacts the touch sensitivity of the display. To me this is a deal breaker. Don’t worry, this next option is more promising! 2. Bumper with Glass Screen Protector. Hybrid between a case and a glass screen protector. The glass is clear, doesn’t affect colours/clarity of display. Firmly snaps on. I like the thin design. This case has no impact touch sensitivity. On the wrist it looks good. 3. Tempered Glass Screen Protector. This one seems to have the best of both, a glass screen protector without the case, but my disappointment was immeasurable. To start, it is difficult to align, I had bubbles which couldn't be squeezed out, lifting the corner left permanent marks on the screen. Once it is on, it does look good. Like with the last case, this screen protector has no impact on touch screen sensitivity and is clear. But to me this doesn’t come across as being made of glass, and certainly doest provide the durability you’d expect from glass. 4. TPU Plastic Screen Protector. Once on it aligns well and like the previous option provides a minimalistic design. But unlike the previous one, this plastic screen protector left no bubbles or lines on the screen after application. Touch sensitivity too here is mostly unaffected and the display retains clarity and colour accuracy. But you do feel the difference between glass and plastic, glass is just a bit smoother, plastic is a bit more sticky almost. This option is simple but works well and still adds a layer to your apple watch display. 5. PET Flexible Screen Protector. Once on, looks almost perfect, aligned very well. Very minimal, definitely feels better compared to previous plastic screen protector. Feels more solid and like the actual apple watch display. It is the most expensive option, but for that you do get an easy stress free application process and that minimalistic design and I think the final product looks quite good! So that gives you my thoughts on each of the 5 main screen protection options for the apple watch. Which will I use? For the time being I will use the 5th option, the PET screen protectors for its minimal look and easy application but will hang on to the case with built-in screen protector for days where I fly or travel!
