Want to use ChatGPT to write a cover letter? It's one of the BEST things you can outsource to AI in your job search—and it's easy to do.

Here's how:

1. Open up ChatGPT. For the prompt, you have a few options:

– Write my cover letter for the [TITLE] role at [COMPANY] in a conversational tone, using my resume below as a reference. (Replace the title and company with options more relevant to your potential future role and company!)
– Write a cover letter with metrics for the following job description. Use my resume for reference, and keep it shorter than 400 words.
– Write a cover letter for X role at X company and include the 5 most important keywords from the job description.

2. Type “Shift” + “Enter” to create a new line. Paste your most recent resume, minus any personal contact information at the top.

3. When you get your result, save it in a Google Doc or Word doc.
