Let yourself be taken on a special musical journey in the Musica Mundo Series. Arin Keshishi, the virtuoso bassist and artistic coordinator of the renowned Marmoucha Orchestra, reveals the secrets of his versatility in the program Self-Reflection: The Live Experience. Arin was born in 1992 into an Armenian family in Tehran, Iran.
He developed a love for music at an early age. At first he was attracted to the classical guitar, but soon he found his real passion: the bass guitar. In Iran he became known as an innovative jazz talent, who effortlessly merged styles such as classical, jazz and flamenco into a unique sound. His move to Amsterdam has further enriched his musical palette with pop, rock and fusion. Arin's special double cultural background in contemporary Iranian music and in the Armenian tradition is reflected in his work. This rich identity brings a deep layering to his art.
Self-Reflection: The Live Experience tells the story of Arin's musical journey: from the winding alleys of Tehran to the beating heart of the Amsterdam music world. The program is enriched by the craftsmanship of the Marmoucha Orchestra, known for its refined sound. Together they create a compelling mix in which every note played brings stories to life, evokes emotions and sparks memories. Dive into a world where music breaks all boundaries!
Arin Keshishi In addition to his performances, Arin is a gifted composer and arranger, and writes original pieces for leading orchestras, including Marmoucha Orchestra.
