In today's Van life documentary we talk with Ryan who has been living in a minivan for 3 months. He was gifted the mini van from his ex partner and he says that this saved him from living on the streets as a homeless person. He tells us that he had to leave his last housing situation because he had no choice and that it was one of these classic BC housing crisis situations. Ryan was interested in Vanlife prior to this and so when he was facing homelessness he knew that Vanlife would allow him to at least live some kind of better life. A van acts like a home in the way where you can lock up your possessions, have a permanent bed, cooking area and a place to feel safe and away from the elements.
