In 1985, an experimental test between the many-worlds theory and Copenhagen interpretation was proposed - which catalysed the proposal for a universal quantum computer.

In this video, Oxford PhD researcher Maria Violaris explains how to test what previously seemed untestable: whether or not a quantum measurement causes an irreversible collapse. After explaining the novel ideas behind this experiment with a coin analogy, Maria shows you how to implement a simulation of it yourself using Qiskit.
