Kia is promising a raft of new EVs, PHEVs and "electrified" vehicles (aka hybrids) over the next few years and the start of this product avalanche is the new EV6. The EV6 has mighty big shoes to fill since the base model is designed to compete with the entry-level Volkswagen ID.4 and Chevy Bolt EUV while the top-line EV6 GT with a big battery, AWD and a 3.5 second EV will take the battle straight to Tesla's Model Y and the most expensive versions of Ford's Mustang Mach E, only with faster charging than either. 2022 is looking like the year of the EV!
