Port Authority of New York & New Jersey Employee Vinny S. shares his personal story of September 11th in his 9/11 Tribute Museum presentation of "We Were There" onstage at the National September 11th Memorial Museum.

Working out of both JFK airport and the 72nd floor of the WTC at the time, Vinny was not in the WTC when the attacks unfolded. His three best friends, however, were there. He remembers a phone call made to his friends that morning, and after one of them abruptly hung up, he knew that something was wrong. His story tells of the emotions that he felt that day, how he and his friends have tried to move on with their lives, and how the attacks have inspired him to focus on what is really important: time spent with loved ones and family.
