As an American kid I best remember this song as performed by The Liverpool Five. Their cover received more radio airplay in the U.S. This sixties' video is one of the precursors to the genre of music videos that became common in the early '80s. The Troggs had several such videos that included sketches or scenes...not strictly footage from TV or concert appearances. The Troggs, prominent during the British Invasion years, were known for raw primal or "caveman" music. Later on they've been referred to as an early punk rock band. "Any Way That You Want Me" went to #10 in the UK in 1966. It failed to chart in the U.S. It was written by Chip Taylor, who also penned the band's memorable 1966 hit "Wild Thing."
