How to upgrade memory on a laptop when the battery is not removable and there doesn’t seem to be a way to remove the back?

This video shows how to upgrade the memory from 4 GB up to 8 GB in an HP 14 inch laptop. The same procedure should work with any HP laptop that has a non-removable battery and where there is no obvious way to open the back to upgrade the memory.

This particular video shows a 2018 HP 14 inch laptop model DF0013CL being upgraded with 8 gigabytes of Crucial DDR4–2400 memory.

Three quick tips before starting: #1 carefully remove the plastic feet and make sure that they do not get stuck to something or dust on them, #2 be careful as you remove the back by very carefully moving around the edge all the way up toward the display, and #3 be very careful when removing the memory so as not to bend the clips on either side.
