This week on the DoneDeal YouTube channel we have been set a challenge by Spirit FordStore in Sandyford. They wanted both David OC and Bob Flavin to spend a day in the Dublin/Wicklow Mountains testing both the Ford Ranger Wildtrak and Ranger Raptor.

Both pick-ups are very similar mechanically, they share the same 2.0 diesel bi-turbo 213bhp engine and to the blind eye aren't extremly different visually.

The big differences are all to do with the suspension. The Raptor offers a smoother ride with more ground clearance making it a better choice for an off roading enthusiast, whilst the Wildtrak is better suited to someone who would be putting the SUV to work. It has a larger towing capacity as well as payload.

The two options are great for a buyer who is interested in having a good work vehicle that can also do the school run.

Overall it was a tough decision, and neither Bob nor Dave could agree on which one they would choose, so it begs the question, which would you buy?
