Today's video takes an experimental approach to assess the capabilities of AI, specifically ChatGPT, in creating and managing a database in Microsoft Access.

The challenge is to determine whether ChatGPT is merely another resource like a search engine or a textbook, or if it's a game-changer that could potentially replace traditional programming roles. To test this, we ask ChatGPT to guide the creation of a simple bookstore database in Access, with specific requirements including building tables, loading data from an Excel file, and creating a query and form.

Throughout the process, we encounter some limitations of the AI. While ChatGPT provides a basic framework and steps, it misses key details, particularly in importing data from Excel and configuring form controls. This reveals some gaps in the AI’s understanding and its ability to provide comprehensive, context-aware instructions. Such gaps highlight the current limitations of AI in programming tasks, reassuring that, for now, human expertise remains indispensable.

Our evaluation ends with a grade based on the AI's performance. Despite completing the task, the AI required significant human intervention, earning it a 'C' grade. This experiment demonstrates that while AI like ChatGPT can be a valuable tool, offering guidance and insights, it is not yet at a stage where it can fully replace human programmers and developers.
