In the 2023 or 2020 for Toyota, Prius, Prime, people have asked, how do you achieve the worst fuel economy. So I decided to do a test on the worst possible fuel economy of the brand new in Toyota Prius Prime. In this test, I drove from Grand Junction Colorado to Delta Colorado Using only EV mode. I then turned around and drove back from Delta Colorado to Grand Junction, Colorado, using nothing but charge mode. Charge mode in the Toyota Prius Prime turns off the hybrid system and charges the main EV battery using only the gasoline engine and alternator. From Delta Colorado to Grand Junction Colorado the 2023 Toyota Prius prime XSE premium achieved over 40 miles per gallon at a set speed of 64 to 65 mph in charge mode.
