The Range Rover Velar is one of the most stunning cars on the road today. Since its debut in 2017, it still manages to maintain a concept car look thanks to that severely raked windshield and thin lighting accents. Also, by painting the top and bottom of the Velar black, the SUV looks lower, thinner, and elongated. The proportions are just short of perfect. And the best part? None of the practicality was sacrificed to achieve such a dramatic design.

The Range Rover Velar that I reviewed was fitted with the R-Dynamic trim, which offered gorgeous wheels, interior accents, and driver focused settings. I would highly recommend choosing any color but white because of the body lines on this car. They beg for a bright and playful color that has the ability to highlight reflections and puddles that would be seen below the belt line of the car.

The 3.0 supercharged V6 provides 340 hp and 342 lbs/ft which is punchy, but the transmission dull the experience due to the single clutch system needed for towing.

Interior comforts are the focal point of the Velar. For starters, just open the door to see 3 speakers mounted to each of the front doors. The surround sound is a theme in the Velar, considering that a third row seat is NOT present, even though you will find speakers in the cargo area. Cargo space is not robbed due to sexy sloping design. The BMW X6 and the Mercedes Benz GLE were simply not able to achieve the practicality while keeping a sexy design. There were sacrifices made all around.

The dual screens, the beautiful steering wheel, and the wide center console are just some of the highlights of the interior. To see all of the highlights including the pros and cons of the Range Rover Velar R Dynamic, watch the full video where I will also give you my opinion on whether or not I believe you should buy one, lease one, or stay away from the Velar altogether.
