Clint Bowyer had trouble processing his abnormal rise to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. In every other racing series he had to compete in, he had to win the season championship to move to the next racing level. His career in the NASCAR Busch Series was different, as he was promoted to Richard Childress Racing without the championship in that series. It haunted the Emporia, Kansas native until he decided to pursue the now NASCAR Nationwide Series title for 2008, as well as compete in his third NASCAR Cup Series season.
