We’re delighted to launch the first official episode of The Creative Revolution Podcast, a podcast dedicated to creativity, imagination, and innovation in action. Our very first episode features an interview with Kate Robinson – the ‘Robinson in the Room’.

Kate is an international author, award-winning educationalist, inspiring public speaker as well as the co-founder and co-host of The Creative Revolution and a number of initiatives dedicated to the life and legacy of Sir Ken Robinson.

For this first episode, co-founder Anthony wanted to ask Kate some things that he felt other interviewers might not have asked. He wanted to know what it was like growing up with Sir Ken as her father, what his life was like growing up, and how their world changed, and how it continues to change.
During this interview, Kate shares her experience of writing her book with Sir Ken ‘Imagine if… Creating a Future for Us All’ and the intense three-month writing process she went through to finish his manifesto without him. She describes how writing the book helped her channel Sir Ken’s voice and gave her a way to keep him close after his passing, as well as sharing her thoughts on the first year of loss and how it is about survival. The second year? Endurance.

Kate shares stories about her father and his siblings while growing up. The Robinson family were based in one of the most deprived areas of the UK, in a two-bedroom house that was home to nine people. Despite these challenges, the Robinson family were able to foster a creative and innovative environment and have gone on to pursue incredible lives as a result of their creativity and determination.

Overall, this episode offers a unique and intimate perspective on Sir Ken Robinson and the impact he had on those close to him. If you’re interested in creativity, innovation, and the personal side of life behind the scenes as a Robinson, you won’t want to miss this episode of The Creative Revolution.

Imagine if… Available Now
------------------------------------------
In his final years, Sir Ken Robinson was working on his Manifesto 'Imagine if... : Creating a Future for Us All' (now available: https://amzn.to/3dNtP38) a searing new book that would serve as his manifesto on creativity and education. Written for both new and dedicated audiences alike, it’s a coherent overview of the arguments that he dedicated his life to, and a pivotal piece of literature for the education revolution he began. Shortly before he passed away, Sir Ken asked his daughter and collaborator, Kate Robinson, to finish writing this manifesto and to continue his work.

At its core, Sir Ken’s work is a love letter to human potential and a celebration of what we are capable of achieving and being as a species, if we create the right conditions. Imagine if... is a rallying cry to revolutionise our systems of education, and the ways in which we run our businesses and structure our social systems, to bring out the absolute best in everyone.
