In this video, I describe the method I used to fabricate new 'programming/personality modules' for the Heathkit EC-1 analog computer from the 1950s. When collectors are able to obtain these rare computers, they often come without the necessary hardware for the modules (used to plug discrete components into each vacuum tube op-amp in order to configure its 'personality' or function), and the necessary plug-pins are 'unobtainium'. My approach uses minimum special parts, although I do utilize my end mill machine (a file can be used for the same purpose), and the cost is mostly due to the custom printed circuit boards used.

Since the EC-1 also requires an assortment of banana plug patch cords, and mine came without those, I tacked on a bit at the end of this video to show how I made a new set of patch cords.
