Christy Essien Igbokwe was a Nigerian musician and actress. During her heyday she was the grand dame of Nigerian pop music, and nicknamed the ‘First Lady of Song’. She began her musical career in Secondary School singing at various clubs and in 1977 she launched a professional music career, aged 17. Many of her albums gained popularity including her 1978 afro soul/disco LP "Patience", which features the track "Stop Messing Around With A Married Man". Christy also had a desire to make life better for Nigerian artists and is credited as having initiated the first meeting that brought about the formation of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN in 1981.

This video features Beacon book publishers which can be recognised from their lighthouse colophon. Many of their books published in the 50's and 60's might have been marketed as hardboiled mystery or romance novels, but the publishers believed that the work could make a larger profit by packaging it as a sexually oriented work.
